A couple of days ago I asked our Instagram audience what to do with old horseshoes since I found a plethora of them at our local antique store the other day. This horseshoe yarn wall art is easily my favorite! I love when I can add a little color and texture to my projects, and this tutorial allows me to do both! It’s also an easy DIY project for teens that my daughter immediately jumped at to make.
Find a couple of shoes in different sizes to create this wall art in a variety of sizes and colors. If you’re not feeling the yarn, you can use leather string instead for a more rustic, natural look. Make these in a rainbow of colors or keep it simple with one color per shoe. The world is your crafting oyster!
Whether you’re a equestrian fanatic, country decor lover, or just have a bunch of horseshoes lying around for no particular reason (no judging, my hand is raised too) this craft makes a lovely addition to any style of home decor.
This particular wall art is from Marley and Alfie’s Instagram where you can shop her DIY art projects here.
