This happens to serve multiple purposes and looks incredibly unique. Cheap can become chic! I love repurposing old things and giving them a new life. It’s one of my favorite hobbies and gives me a great sense of accomplishment.
If you don’t have an old trunk or a cool old suitcase, start by looking at your local antique stores, flea markets, and yard sales for old suitcases and trunks. Make sure it has a solid construction and is well built even if the locks or latches don’t work.
I have always loved old trunks. So when a friend asked if I wanted to snag this awesome trunk from her garage sale, I of course jumped at the chance. The trunk was in really great shape, but it obviously needed a makeover and I decided to take it a step further and turn it into my trunk storage table.
This trunk would make the perfect functional coffee table or be great at the end of bed for storage. Sometimes it just amazes me how just a little paint and effort can create the most amazing transformation. This trunk started out in need of a lot of help and it’s now a beautiful trunk storage table. I just LOVE it!
