TikTok has now taken over the internet and has become a sensation, you can find a variety of content there ranging from dance trends to recipes and crafts. Some trends that have been taking over are cloud lamps and cloud ceilings. They look aesthetic and also look great on pictures, they might look difficult to make but they’re not! You can make them with only a few materials and you can also customize them depending on your preference. So, if you want to achieve this viral cloud ceiling, let Wes Fisher from YouTube show us how.

Materials:

  • LED Light Strips
  • Poly-fil Fiberfill (Cloud Material)
  • Christmas Lights, optional
  • Duct Tape
  • Glue Gun
  • Glue Stick
  • Gorilla Heavy Duty Adhesive Spray
  • Phillips Hue Lights, optional
  • Poster Board

Directions:

Step 1

Take your duct tape and cut medium-length sizes, then loop them to create the double-sided tape. Stick them at the back of each poster board, then start sticking them onto the ceiling, you can space them however you want as long as the poster boards cover the area where you want to stick your clouds.

Step 2

Using hot glue, attach the led light strips all over the poster boards on the ceiling, again you can attach them whichever way and pattern you want. If you think that there aren’t enough lights on the ceiling, you can add Christmas lights. (Note: LED light strips are cool to the touch which means that their chances of catching fire are very low. This is however the opposite for Christmas lights, they can easily get hot and catch fire. So, take caution when using them or just not use them at all and proceed with LED light strips instead.)

Step 3

For attaching the poly-fil, you can either use hot glue or gorilla adhesive spray, whichever you find works best should do. You can also change your center light bulb into hue light if you want to match the clouds.
