In this step by step tutorial, White County Library, Sparta TN will teach you how to make your own DIY birdbath using only terracotta pots and basic crafting supplies. It’s the perfect addition to your garden and will surely make it lively! Watch the video tutorial below to learn how to make this.

Materials:

  • 3 large terracotta pots
  • 1 small terracotta pot
  • 1 large terracotta saucer
  • 1 small terracotta saucer
  • hot glue gun
  • paint
  • paintbrush

Directions:

Step 1

Paint your terracotta pots in the color of your choice, then set them aside to dry. Once dried, it’s time to put them together. Take one pot and turn it upside down. Put a lot of glue right around the bottom, then take your second pot, and place it directly on top. Let it sit for a few minutes to let it dry, lining it up with the hole on the inside. After this, put a lot of glue at the rim of the second pot, then set the third pot, upside down, right on top.

Step 2

Now, put a lot of glue on top of the third pot, then place the large saucer. Once it sets, place a small upside-down terracotta pot on the top side of the saucer and secure it with lots of glue. Lastly, glue a small saucer on top of the small pot for the birds to land on. Decorate the birdbath with whatever you like and you’re done.
