Pier One
Looking to brighten up your living room or bedroom? Whether you’re redecorating or just looking to add a pop of color to your decor, these fabulous pillows will definitely deliver! The first time I saw these pillows was at Anthropologie, so I’m not sure who started this look. I just had to have them, but my budget didn’t allow for a purchase like that at the time. I was so excited when I saw this tutorial! I had no idea I could actually make them myself! You would think I would have thought of this since I’m a big crafter and Artist! Guess it slipped my mind!
Today I saw a beautiful girl with a white sweater on and at the bottom of the sweater were really full tassels made out of regular yarn. Now I MUST make myself one…coolest looking sweater!
These pillows make wonderful housewarming gifts. I gave one to a friend of mine, who just purchased a new home, and she absolutely loved it! You can make these for holiday gifts too!
Materials:
Start by folding the card board in half and wrap the yard around the cardboard until it has a lot of yarn wrapped around it. There will be an open side of the cardboard. Then take your crochet hook and put it through the open side of the cardboard and under the yard you’ve just wrapped. After that, loop a piece of yarn and put the loop through the crochet hook and pull it back through the open edge of the cardboard, and under the yarn. Once the loop is pulled back through, take the yard from the other side of the cardboard and pull it back through the loop, tying the tassel off and then repeat for as many tassels you desire to put on your pillow!
Watch this step by step tutorial to see exactly what I tried to describe!
We just love this Tassel Pillow and want to give a special thanks to Pier One for the use of the photo in this post! Be sure to check out their site for some fabulous finds!
