I love anything coke! Think I will buy a few of those cokes in those cute little bottles just so I can do this! Now more than ever, people are reusing old plastic and glass bottles to create functional yet adorable craft projects. You can use bottles for home decor projects as well as crafts for your kids to do. You can paint the bottles, cover them with glue or saw them in half — don’t be afraid to get creative.

While you’re thinking of upcycling, why not dig into your recycle bin and create some other crafts using discarded glass and plastic bottles? Start with a few pretty DIY accessories that you can wear into the summer. Water bottle bracelets are a fun alternative to bangles and can be customized to fit your style. The sky’s the limit when it comes to recycling bottles to make something useful. The same goes for glass bottles too! I’ve seen so many cool projects using glass bottles. I just recently saw an awesome piece of artwork that looked like stained glass. The bottoms of the glass bottles were cut off and glued onto a piece of glass and framed. It was so stunning in a window with the light coming through and the different colored bottle pieces.

It’s so clever what she does in this tutorial by using Modge Podge to glue the beautiful design with the napkin squares on the bottle and topping it off with twisted gold around the lid. It’s simply stunning! Flowers look beautiful in this. I would have never guessed that this was a plastic coke bottle after seeing the finished vase!

Watch this step by step tutorial to see how she turns a simple coke bottle into something amazing!

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
