Turn Old T-shirts To Patchwork Blanket

Do you have old favorite t-shirts that you don’t want to throw away? Repurpose them by making a patchwork blanket. This can be made for anyone as a gift such as using children’s t-shirts or unworn t-shirts for adults. There are many ways to be creative with this DIY sewing project, and I want to make a sports one for my friend with all of his favorite sports team. Also, another idea would be using old t-shirts that remind you of your childhood and it would be a reminsce from your past. So, this should remind others that you can recycle t-shirts for something useful instead of getting rid of it entirely.

Supplies:

• old t-shirts
• filler fiber
• ruler
• sewing machine
• scissors
• fabric marker/chalk
• rectangle template (to outline t-shirts in the same size)
• fabric pins
• iron

Directions:

Next, pin the t-shirts together side by side so that they touch together. Sew them all with a zigzag stitch.

Overall, this is a simple DIY that would be useful when I detox my closet. I have no many t-shirts that I hoard and do not want to throw away. This would be good for me to make because I love blankets, and it would be to help me get rid of my t-shirts.
