Keeping the house fresh and smelling good can be tedious, especially if you have kids or pets. But with this DIY homemade diffuser from WhatsUpMoms on Youtube, a fresh-smelling house is just one step away! What’s more, you only need three ingredients for this – pretty amazing, right? Stop buying those expensive diffusers and start making yours today by watching the video tutorial below.

Materials:

  • glass container
  • safflower or sweet almond oil
  • essential and/or fragrance oils

Directions:

Step 1

In a small mixing jug, add 3/4 cups of safflower oil (you can use any carrier oil but it’s recommended to use one without a strong scent). Next, add 1/4 cup of essential oils (you can choose as many or as few as you’d like, just make sure that it’s a one to three ratio to your carrier oil.) First, add lavender oil followed by sweet orange oil, then finished off with a tablespoon of freesia and jasmine. Give the mixture a quick stir.

Fill the glass container about halfway up. (You can pour the extra into other glass containers to make more.) Finally, add the reeds. You can customize the glass containers to make them the perfect accent for any table. Your DIY diffuser is now ready!

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
