Place two 4-inch squares on top of the interfacing and iron them on top. Cut the squares.
Get one piece and place it upside down. From the bottom corner, measure 3.14 inches and mark. Next, place your ruler vertically from the upper right to the lower left and measure 2 inches. Make a mark. Now, from the bottom right, measure 1.18 inches. Place your ruler horizontally on that mark, then measure 1/4 inch from the right.
Connect the marks into a curve. Fold the fabric in half vertically, then cut the curved line to make a heart.
Place the heart shape on top of the other square, right sides together, then cut the same shape. Place them on top of each other, then sew on the curved lines. Using pinking shears, cut some of the seam allowance to remove the bulk. Flip it right side out. Press it flat. Top stitch on the curved parts.
Get one of the remaining squares and place it right-side up. Place the heart on top, aligning it with the bottom left corner. Sew on the straight edges of the heart shape.
Place the remaining square on the top right side down. Sew all the way around but leave an opening on one of the curved parts. Trim the corners. Flip it right side out.
Sew the opening closed. Top stitch all around the edges.
