Are you looking for a super easy project for the weekend? Try making this hanging shelf from CS Nidhi Bakshi on Youtube! This hanging shelf is only made with an embroidery hoop; can you believe that? It’s so simple to make, yet the outcome is gorgeous! This DIY is one of my favorite projects. I already made a couple of them and hung them in my bedroom. This project will surely add spice to your space and make it more chic! Try making one today! Watch the video tutorial below to learn the step by step instructions.

Materials:

  • 1 embroidery hoops
  • 1 coaster
  • hot glue gun
  • macrame thread (or any thread/rope of your choice)
  • potted plant

Directions:

Step 1

To start, loosen the screw of your embroidery hoop, then turn the inner part to make a crisscross shape. Tighten the screw once satisfied with the positioning and secure it with hot glue. (Make sure the inner circle is properly positioned in the center so the shelf would be balanced.)

Step 2

Once done and the glue has properly dried up, take the coaster and place it at the bottom center. Secure it with hot glue. After this, tie your preferred thread/rope on top for hanging. Finally, place a potted plant or anything you like, then hang it. Your DIY hanging shelf is now finished!

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
