It’s finally that time of year to pull out those Halloween decorations. These DIY Halloween pool noodle candles are such as great a way to repurpose items that may be stored or thrown away. This Southern Girl Can on YouTube does a great job explaining step by step throughout the video. It’s a very simple DIY to do, and it’s inexpensive. I know these candles can run expensive at stores, and I would never notice that these are pool noodles. Also, I like how she decorated them on a tray with the Spanish moss and other decors. It’s cool to see how something so simple and cheap can be revamped into an item that is useable.

Supplies:

  • pool noodles (dark colors preferably)
  • hot glue gun (low temp)
  • scissors
  • tealight candles
  • knife
  • black tray, optional
  • Spanish moss, optional
  • black paint

Directions:

First, cut the pool noodle into pieces to whatever length you would like your candles. Then, take the scissors and slightly cut around the hole of the pool noodle to become wider. This is where the tealight will insert in. Continue to watch This Southern Girl Can tutorial on YouTube for full instructions and details.

Next, this is an optional step, but once the pool noodle is painted and dry, glue the pool noodle candles onto a tray. There are many ways to design and place these candles but follow along with the tutorial exactly if you prefer.

Overall, this is such a unique way to use pool noodles, especially now that summer is over. I would love to take this video and make other candles out of it for Thanksgiving and Christmas. There are many ways to use this pool noodle tutorial too.
