Fourth of July is coming around the corner, and it’s not too late to get festive. If you can’t find any decorations at the store for the Fourth of July or want a DIY, here’s an easy, inexpensive idea. Switching out wreaths is popular and easy way to stay with the holidays if you’re not looking to decorate a lot. Just take it off your door and switch to one that fits the appropriate holiday. This tutorial by Keeping It Simple Crafts is detailed and clear which is perfect for those who have trouble with difficult steps. I know when I’m crafting something, I want the instructions to be as simplified and easy as possible. All of the supplies can be bought at Dollar Tree, so this is perfect for those who aren’t trying to spend a lot on a seasonal wreath.

Supplies:

  • 3 rolls 10-inch deco mesh
  • 1 wire wreath form
  • pipe cleaners
  • sign
  • scissor
  • wire cutters
  • hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • ruler

Instructions:

First, cut the deco mesh at 10 inches. Next, take the pipe cleaners and at the crossbar of your metal wreath, you’re going to want to attach it and repeat. Make sure to skip a couple of inches apart when adding more, but add only 5 pipe cleaners first.

Then, you’re ready to add the deco mesh. Lay the mesh and fold it diagonally from the top left corner down. Start walking your fingers from the bottle and pinch it up until it makes an umbrella shape. After, take the umbrella and add it to your first pipe cleaner by twisting it down. With Keeping It Simple Crafts tutorial, you want to repeat the same process and you’re done.

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
