Use your leftover fabrics from your past sewing projects and make them into this DIY flower drawstring pouch. How lovely is this little project by Fafa DIY? It can fit your coins, pieces of jewelry, or other small items. Watch the video below for the step-by-step instructions.
Fold the outer fabric in half 2 times, making a small square. Fold it diagonally to form a triangle. Place the pattern on the folded corner and cut using a pair of scissors. Once done, set it aside.
Fold the inner fabric in half 2 times, making a small square. Fold it diagonally to form a triangle. Place the pattern again on the folded corner and cut using a pair of scissors. Flip it so that the right side is facing up. Then place the outer fabric on the top right side down.
Sew the curve edges on the four petals.
Hold it on the corner of the two petals and pull it to make the edges straight. Secure with pins then sew it. Do the same for the 4 corners but make sure to not fully enclosed 1 corner. Once done, trim the tip of the petals and pull it right side out from the opening. Sew the opening.
Top stitch the petals. next, fold the petals outward then sew 0.8 inches from the top edge or adjust it based on the size of your cord. Do the same for all of the petals.
Insert the cord to all of the petals. Put wooden beads on the ends and tie them in a knot. Do the same for the other cord but start on the opposite corner.
