Trace the inside circle of the pipe onto the scrap wood. Set it aside for later.
Lay out the felt and place the wooden round on top. Trace around the felt about one inch wider than the round. Cut it out.
Use spray adhesive to attach the carpet to the glue. Lay it on the center nice and smooth. Flip it over and hot glue the sides. Use a stapler to keep it in place. Make sure to wear gloves so you won’t get burned.
Cut the circle on the scrap piece of wood using a jigsaw. It should fit inside the pipe.
Place the round wood on the bigger piece. You can place it in the center or side. Drill two screws into the wood circle. For added support, cut the carpet out below the wood circle and glue it down before drilling. Insert the pipe and mark the sides where you are going to drive screws. Be careful not to drill into the screws that you already had in place.
Remove the pipe and drill holes in the marks. Place back into the wooden piece and attach with screws.
Use acetone to remove the bar code from the cap. Paint the same color as the felt. Let it dry.
Attach the end of the rope rope to the bottom back of the pipe with hot glue. Wrap it around the pipe, applying glue every so often. Place the cap.
