This folded book vase is perfect for displaying dried flowers, faux flowers, or paper flowers. If you’ve made crepe paper flowers, this is a great way to showcase them proudly. It is a very lovely home decor piece that’s sure to look beautiful in your space.

In this tutorial, I will show you how to turn an old book into a stunning flower vase. I know this project is not for everybody, especially for those who love books. If you plan on making this recycled craft, I suggest you use those really old books that you are willing to tear apart. If you don’t have old books, you can look around thrift stores or book stores in your neighborhood. I got this book from a clearance sale from our local book store at a very low price. Of course, I made sure to read the book before I made this craft.
How to Make Folded Book Page Vase
Learn how to make a vase from a book with this easy step-by-step tutorial.
Finding the middle
Open the book to its center. Find the middle of the page and draw a straight line.

Counting pages
Count 12 pages from the left and 12 pages from the right, then place a piece of paper as a marker on both sides.
Next, place a piece of cardboard at one of the marked spots to prevent your cutter from cutting through the other pages.
Cutting the paper
Cut the paper, using the line as the guide. Repeat on the other side.

Ripping the paper
Tear off the top part of the book.

Gluing the pages
Move all the cut pages to the right. Then count three pages and tape them together using double-sided tape.

Folding the pages
Add double-sided tape to the side of the top page, then fold it toward the middle.

Making the flower vase
Repeat step 6 for the remaining pages.

Decorating
The last thing you need to do is add the flowers.
