To start, cut all the required fabrics and label them accordingly. Next, make half-square triangle units with the 4″ x 4″ squares. Draw two lines away from the center, corner to corner, then sew them. Once done, cut right into the center. Repeat these steps to make two sets. Press them open, then trim them down to 3 1/2″ squares. After this, make a large half-square triangle with the 7″ x 7″ square. Just repeat the earlier steps, then press everything down nicely.

Now, assemble the block. Assemble the 4-patch units first, with the green fabric facing inwards, then sew them down. Once done, lay them down, with the four-patch units on each corner, then the large half-square triangles to the opposite corners. (Make sure the green fabrics are all facing inwards.) Sew them in pairs, then sew those units together to form the block. Make as many as you need for the quilt size you desire.
