You will only need a few ingredients for this recipe. It’s easy and quick to make and has the perfect homemade garlic cheese dip. Try this potato dish today and impress your family with its amazing flavor and texture.

Ingredients:

  • potatoes
  • potato starch
  • salt
  • cheese powder
  • dried parsley

For the Garlic Cheese Dip:

  • 3/4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese
  • 5 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • sriracha sauce

Directions:

Step 1

Wash and peel the skin of the potatoes and cut each on the sides to form them into a cube shape. (Set the leftover potatoes aside and you can turn them into fries for later.) Now, cut each potato in 0.5cm intervals, leaving three-fourths of the bottom edge. Turn the potato 90 degrees and cut it in the same way. Once done, season the potatoes with 1 tbsp salt at the top and bottom. Let them soften for 15 to 20 minutes. After this, wash it several times until the water runs clear, then soak it in water for ten minutes.

Step 2

Dry the potatoes with a kitchen towel gently, then coat each with potato starch. Heat a deep pan with enough cooking oil for deep frying at medium heat, then gently submerge each potato flower. Baste the top with the cooking oil to make it crispy. When they turn lightly brown, remove them from the pan and place them on a cooling rack. In the meantime, make the dip.

Step 3

In a small bowl, combine 3/4 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp minced garlic, 5 tbsp milk, and 1/2 cup of grated cheese. Put in the microwave to melt the ingredients, then mix them well. Stir in 1 tsp sriracha sauce for extra heat. Garnish the potato flowers with dried parsley and serve with the garlic cheese dip. (You can fry the potato flowers again to make them crispier.)
