Do you recall Brazilian coconut balls or Beijinho de coco? If so, you will find this recipe familiar, as it’s the same. They are made with butter, coconuts, and sweetened condensed milk. For those who haven’t tried Beijinho before, it is the coconut version of brigadeiro, a popular Brazilian dessert made with cocoa powder. Both are amazing and are always a crowd-favorite dessert on any occasion.

Place a pan over low heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter.
Once the butter is melted, add 14 oz of sweetened condensed milk and 3/4 cup of desiccated coconut. Stir constantly for about 10 minutes until it has a thick consistency.
Grease a plate with non-stick cooking spray. Transfer the mixture and spread. Place in the refrigerator and chill for at least 30 minutes.
Once the mixture is cooled, remove from the refrigerator and shape them into balls using your hands. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
Roll each ball in desiccated coconut. You can serve them as is or you can place them in small cupcake liners. Enjoy!
