Rice Krispies, peanut butter, chocolate, and butterscotch chips are combined to make this old-fashioned classic scotcheroos recipe. It is a no-bake recipe, so you will only be using your stovetop. Everyone at home loves this recipe by Our Journey To Home and asks me now and then to make it for them. It is super easy and quick to prepare, and it always turns out amazing.

You will need to make the cereal mixture first. It is a combination of Rice Krispies, peanut butter, corn syrup, and sugar. Once it is ready, make the chocolate topping by melting the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips together, then pour over the cereal layer. Add 6 cups of rice crispy cereal in a large bowl.
Add sugar, peanut butter, and corn syrup in a medium pot and place on the stove. Bring it to a boil while stirring constantly.
Once boiling, remove the mixture from the heat and pour onto the cereal in the large bowl. Mix until well combined.
Grease a 9 x 13 pan and spread the cereal evenly. Place a piece of wax paper on top and gently pat until the top is smooth and flat.
Make the chocolate topping. Fill a pot with water about halfway through and bring it to a boil. Place a heat-safe bowl on top and add the chocolate chips and butter scotch chips. Stir constantly until melted.
Pour the chocolate mixture onto the cereal and spread until smooth.
Set aside and let it set for an hour until the chocolate solidifies. Slice into squares and serve. Enjoy!
