Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 6 cups of mini marshmallows
  • 7 cups of rice krispies cereal
  • 1 cup of crushed pecans
  • 1 bag (11 oz) of caramel bits
  • 1 bag (10 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream, divided

Directions:

Step 1

To start, melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat, then add 6 cups of mini marshmallows. Stir them continually to melt the marshmallows down. Once melted, turn off the heat, then add 7 cups of rice krispies cereal. Mix well to combine, making sure the rice krispies are well coated. Next, grease your baking dish with some butter, then transfer the rice krispie mixture to it. Spread the mixture evenly and tightly across the baking dish with your hands. Next, put the caramel bits in a microwave-safe bowl, then add 2 1/2 tbsp of heavy whipping cream.

Step 2

Place it in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir, then put it back in the microwave. Keep doing this until you get a nice smooth consistency. Microwave the semi-sweet chocolate chips with 2 1/2 tbsp of heavy whipping cream as well until they’re smooth. Once done, drizzle the caramel over the rice krispie treats as well as the chocolate. Next, sprinkle some crushed pecans, then drizzle the rest of the caramel and chocolate glaze. Once done, cut them into bite-size squares and serve.
