Ingredients:

  • saltine crackers
  • 1 cup of butter
  • 1 cup of brown sugar, firmly packed
  • mini chocolate chips
  • crushed pecans

Directions:

Step 1

To start, wrap a large baking sheet with heavy-duty aluminum foil and grease it with a nonstick cooking spray. Next, lay saltine crackers at the bottom, covering the entire baking sheet. Set it aside. In a saucepan over medium-high heat, add 1 cup of butter (salted or unsalted) and 1 cup of firmly packed brown sugar, then bring them to a boil, and continue to boil it for five full minutes, stirring continuously. After this, pour it over the saltine crackers. Spread the mixture around evenly.

Step 2

Once done, put the baking sheet in the oven at 350 degrees F and bake for about five minutes. After baking, sprinkle the mini chocolate chips over the top and let them sit for a minute to let the chocolate chips melt, then spread them around evenly. After this, sprinkle the pecans over the top. Now, let it set and cool down, then you can break or chop it into pieces. (You can also put it in the fridge for two hours to let it set.)
