In this step by step instructions, Catherine’s Plates will teach you how to make these stuffed sausages from scratch. It’s pretty easy and versatile and they will surely steal the spotlight. Watch the video below to learn the easy to follow recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 2 (14-16 oz) packages of linked smoked sausage
  • 1 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1/4 red onion, diced
  • 8 oz block of cream cheese, softened
  • 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 tsp each of black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cumin, and paprika
  • dried parsley, for garnish

Directions:

Step 1

Take the sausage out of the package and cut it into 4″ pieces. After this, cut through the sausage about halfway through lengthwise, and place them in a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Set them aside. Now, make the filling. Prepare and cut the red onion and bell pepper accordingly and put them in a large mixing bowl. To that, add an 8 oz block of softened cream cheese, half of the shredded cheddar cheese, and 1/4 tsp each of black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cumin, and paprika. Mix them all together until combined.

Now, divide the mixture on top of the split sausages, then sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese. Once done, place the sausages in the preheated 400 degrees F oven and bake for ten minutes or so until the sausages are cooked through. After baking, garnish with dried parsley and serve. Enjoy!
