Ingredients:

  • 1 box of jumbo pasta shells
  • 2 cups of mozzarella cheese
  • 24 ounces of marinara sauce
  • 32 ounces of ricotta cheese
  • 1¾ cup of parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of black pepper
  • ¼ cup of fresh parsley, diced
  • ¼ cup of fresh basil, diced

Directions:

Step 1

First off, dice some fresh parsley and basil then set them aside. Grab a large mixing bowl, and add the ricotta cheese, eggs, mozzarella cheese, and parmesan cheese. Season them with salt and ground black pepper, then add in the diced parsley and basil. Mix them all together until well combined and uniform. Grab a baking dish, then scoop out some marinara sauce and spread it at the bottom of the dish. Sprinkle on top with some diced herbs and cheese, then grab a Ziploc bag, and transfer the cheese mixture into it. Seal the bag and snip off the edge, then use it as a piping bag.

Step 2

Pipe the cheese mixture onto the boiled pasta shells and fill them generously. Place them in the baking dish and on top of the marinara sauce, make sure to arrange them in a neat and single layer. Scoop out some more marinara sauce and cover the filled pasta shells with it, sprinkle more cheese and herbs on top. Cover the baking dish with a sheet of aluminum foil, then pop it in a preheated oven at 350 degrees, and bake it for about 15 to 20 minutes. After about 17 minutes, remove the foil and turn the oven up to 400 degrees, then put the dish back in the oven and let it bake for about 5 more minutes or until the cheese has melted. Sprinkle and garnish with diced herbs.
