This dish comes easily and only requires a few ingredients. It has several layers of bread, ham, cheese, tomato, and asparagus. Easy Ham and Asparagus Casserole

  • brioche bread
  • ham
  • shredded cheddar cheese
  • tomatoes (slice into rounds)
  • asparagus (cut into small pieces)
  • eggs
  • heavy cream
  • thyme
  • salt and pepper

 

How to Make Ham And Asparagus Strata

Step 1:

Start by adding a layer of brioche bread to your baking dish. Break them down into pieces if needed.

Step 2:

Add a layer of ham, followed by the shredded cheddar cheese, sliced tomatoes, and asparagus.

Step 3:

Add another layer of brioche bread, then repeat step 2.

Step 4:

In a large bowl, add the eggs and a little heavy cream. The amount of egg-heavy cream mixture you need depends on your baking dish. Season with thyme, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well combined.

Step 5:

Slowly pour all over the casserole. Cover it with cling wrap, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or up to overnight.

Step 6:

Bake at 350F for about an hour or until golden brown on top. A toothpick should come out clean when inserted in the center and the internal temperature should be 165F.
