Bread and melted cheese is already a great combination. I’ve never had olives in my bread, but this recipe is unique because you can pull them apart individually. This cheese olive pull-apart bread recipe by Ninik Becker on YouTube is simple and makes me realize how easy it is to make bread. You can be creative and add your own toppings, fillings, or spices to cater to your tastebuds. This recipe can be treated as a base recipe, but this exact recipe looks appetizing.

  • 1-1/2 tsp instant dry yeast
  • 42g (3 tbsp) butter, melted.
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) of warm milk
  • 400g Swiss cheese slices + olives
  • Black pepper + ground paprika or spices/herbs you like.

First, make the bread dough by watching Ninik Becker’s tutorial on YouTube. Once it’s ready and rested, flatten the dough into a thin rectangle shape. Layer the dough with Swiss cheese, black pepper, paprika, and any other herbs or spices you like.

Next, add in your fillings such as olives and slice the dough into small squares. Then, stack the slices together and put them vertically into a loaf pan. Let it rise for about 30-40 minutes. Apply the egg wash on top and sprinkle grated cheese on top. Bake for 30-40 minutes at 356F.

This bread reminds me of an Italian style bread with olives, but I know a lot of people do not like olives. I love how cheesy this pull-apart bread turned out and how she stacked them on top of each other. The way the slices were placed in the loaf pan made me question how was this bread going to turn out or be easy to just rip apart after.
