Ingredients:

  • 1 stick (4 oz) butter, melted
  • 2 (7 oz) cans of shredded chicken packed in water, drained
  • 8 oz frozen peas (or favorite frozen vegetable)
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1 (12 oz) box of Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix & Seasoning packet
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 (10 oz) can cream of chicken (or favorite cream of soup flavor)

Directions:

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees  F and add 1 stick of melted butter to your casserole dish. Set it aside. Next, drain your canned chicken and add evenly disperse them to the casserole dish, don’t mix. Then, add the frozen peas over the chicken. Now, season the chicken mixture with 1/8 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp black pepper, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, and 1/4 tsp onion powder.

Step 2

Next, combine 1 box of Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix, the seasoning packet, 1 cup of milk, and 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese. Stir everything until incorporated. Once mixed, start dolloping it all over the casserole dish. After this, combine 2 cups of chicken broth and one can of cream chicken soup in a mixing jug, then pour it evenly over the biscuit mixture. (Make sure you don’t mix anything in with the layers.) Once you’re done assembling the casserole, place it in the preheated oven at 350 degrees F and bake for 45 minutes until the tops of the biscuit are gold and brown. After baking, let it rest for ten minutes, then serve.
