I saw this idea on Pinterest to add rustic leaf cutouts to your Autumn fruit bowl. DIY was never easier, cheaper or more fun than this easy craft project. My kids drew and cut out the leaves from old grocery bags and they love my handwriting so much they asked me to do write phrases on them. Love, hope, peace, thankful were all in our word themes. I used it as my centerpiece for a pre-Thanksgiving brunch and my guests loved it.

The baron sparse nature of the Autumn season makes DIY table arrangements even more simple and easy. I had a beautiful old silver bowl that was my Great Grandmother’s, so I just filled it with a sparing, not overly lush melange of pinecones and mistletoe. It still needed something for height so I added some fake antlers I got on sale at Michael’s last year. It looked like an Architectural Digest!

I saw this super easy DIY craft idea for a Mason Jar centerpiece on Pinterest. You can use a wood or marble base and get best your jars out and fill them up with an Autumn melange of your own choosing. I made one a napkin holder, two I turned into hurricane styled tea light luminaries, one into a holder of my favorite Winter wheat, and then made a cutlery holder. I placed the Autumn Mason melange at the beginning of my Thanksgiving buffet. Everyone loved it, it looked very rustic and country which suited our frame of mind perfectly.

4. Thanksgiving Food Centerpiece

A DIY organic dream awaited my vegan friends attending my Thanksgiving brunch. I laid out some parchment and used one of those vegetable trays from the grocery store and layered my vegetables all around, using a cauliflower as a centerpiece. I added a little baby’s breath at the edges which visually set the whole thing off. It made our vegan dinner look gorgeous and it took less than a half an hour to have this camera-friendly centerpiece.

Everyone loves rustic wood during the entire Autumn season. I especially love the idea of using a long plank as a table runner and there are many ways you can do this. If you have an old shutter or bench top that will do nicely, if not you can get a new plank from Home Depot for very little money. I sanded and stained mine and just laid it down in the center of my Thanksgiving table. I heard my husband bragging about my DIY craft abilities to his boss, it was such a compliment.

This Thanksgiving DIY craft idea makes a gorgeous centerpiece. I included my kids in the fun by getting them to draw and cut out leaves from a grocery bag and had them tie those to our miniature pumpkin stems. I lined them up on an old piece of wood I had laying in the garage and arranged some berry branches in between. DIY crafts have never been so easy and fun.

The best thing about DIY crafts is that you can repurpose just about any of your crafts you’ve already made. I took an old Easter basket and updated its seasonal relevance by filling it with lovely Autumn flowers from my garden and artificial leaves I bought from Michael’s craft store. Wheat is is the symbol of our country’s breadbasket and nothing says Happy Thanksgiving like honoring our nation’s farmers. I saw this lovely centerpiece on Pinterest and couldn’t think of a better, more simple cheap DIY project to make my table look Autumn ready. I got my little wheat bunches from Michael’s craft store and secured them together, then topped with a rustic burlap bow. This is a must arrangement that will take you through every turn this holiday season, from Halloween till Christmas.

I needed a centerpiece involving a turkey for my daughter’s classroom. I had a twig bundle in an arrangement on my porch, so I pulled it out and used it for the turkey’s body.
