The kids and I had this amazing idea as we were browsing the Fall decor at Michael’s. We purchased some artificial leaves, glitter in beautiful Autumn Tones and earth-toned ribbon. We had a blast covering our leaves in Elmers Glue and rubbing the sparkling Fall colors over each stunning masterpiece. We attached all the loveliness and hung it right over the entrance to the porch. My husband was so thrilled to see his busy little elves of autumn cheer had brightened our beloved holiday season. I was noticing all the beautiful apple orchards on our recent Autumn vacation in England. The apples looked like fall ornaments hanging in the trees, I had to replicate this somehow. So I found some old yarn leftover from a sweater I made for our puppy and got some balloons and good old Elmers glue and the kids and I made about 30 ornaments and hung them in the tree at the end of the driveway. I fund my perfect decorative bowl for my Fall coffee table. I fell in love with these artificial leaves I got from Michael and I bought so many, more than I could ever use. I got out a bowl to mold around some Glad wrap and Elmers glue, then with the greatest of ease, I made these beauties. My cost was zero and my gift recipient satisfaction was through the roof. If you love wire sculpture as much as I do then this wreath is something you have to try. It has a cool, sleek minimalist look that looks difficult and expensive, but it’s cheap and very simple to make. I had a leftover wire wreath from an old project and some leftover felt from our Christmas Elves. I cut the leaves out of felt and attached them to the wire wreath with a simple twist. My guests were screaming with joy as they approached my door for our annual Thanksgiving celebration.

I couldn’t decide on an Autumn centerpiece for my Thanksgiving dinner and I saw this idea for pumpkin wreaths used as candle holders and knew I had an impressive formula to make the table really pop. I used real pumpkins because I had so many in my Fall display, but artificial will work fine. Joined some beautiful Fall toned flowers around the base with my hot glue gun and they looked fabulous. If your kids get anxious on rainy Autumn days, this is an excellent group project. We got an old wooden box out of the garage, found a tree branch we liked and made these lovely little owls to represent each family member. This Fall centerpiece is a super little DIY project anyone can do on a limited budget. I found some jars and vases that were not essential to my life while cleaning out the cabinets and I found this cute centerpiece idea. Used some old burlap scraps leftover from another project, used a stencil for a personalized touch. I repurposed some old cabinet doors adding chalkboard at the center of the frames and drilled some holes for hanging and I can keep everyone in this house posted on what’s for dinner to household chores. This was the most simple Autumn decor DIY project I have done this year. I had some leftover pumpkins I used in my outdoor display last year and got some Magnolia flowers from Michael’s. I simply attached the flowers to the top of the pumpkin with my trusty glue gun and wrote a holiday message on the front with my gold paint pen. I rate this as one of the easiest, most impressive projects I have ever done, everyone loves it.

This season I cannot get enough lovely candle displays in my home. I had these big candles that looked a bit plain by themselves, so using last years leftover fake leaves, burlap and twine, I dressed them up with the coolest Thanksgiving flair. I love this Autumn decor idea and you don’t need much, just birch bark, glass or plastic vases, jute string, leaves.. a beautiful taste of fall! I found the strips of bark came off quite easily from my stash of fireplace logs I have in the backyard or firewood from HEB will work just as well. I just fastened the bark to the vase with jute twine and made the most beautiful fall vase wraps I could imagine. I added rustic looking clippings from my garden and the results were so impressive.

Great DIY project for all you woodworkers out there. I just love the idea of using the idea of using a leaf shape as your vowel in the word Fall, what a way to bring my favorite season to life. I cut the letters using my circular saw, but they will pre-cut at Home Depot if you ask. You just bolt them down, wood glue will also work, and add your lovely leaf to the middle. I always have a stockpile of empty bottles after the big Halloween party I have every year. So what better way to upcycle than creating these beautiful ombre candy corn bottles to transition us into Thanksgiving? Just be sure and take the labels off and use a primer coat first to give your paint extra grip. Fashion your spraying pattern visually like candy corn and let your colors melt into each other. I wanted to make a Fall centerpiece for my Thanksgiving cheese and dessert table this season and I remembered seeing this idea at Pottery Barn. I had my hurricane lamp ready to go and some Michael’s craft store leftover fake leaves, twig garland, and twine from an Autumn display I did last year. It was as simple as fixing it all down using my glue gun, to the bottom of my hurricane lamp. It turned out amazing and the hardest part of the entire project was convincing my guests I did not buy this at a high-end retail outlet. This makes a cute DIY housewarling gift, too. 40. Happy Fall Sign
If you live in a hot arid climate, nothing gets people in the mood for Fall than a happy Fall sign and some spice candles. I repurposed some old cabinet doors I got at a local junk shop to make my Autumn sign display. I had one made of chicken wire and one ordinary plank door. I used the plank door to stencil my Fall message over a lovely hand painted whitewash, then affixed the two together and created my own little Autumn still life to get my family really in the mood for the holidays.
41. Fall Banner made from Book Pages
These Fall banners are the lowest cost most handsome decoration you can make hands down. All we needed was a string. stickers and old pages from a book. We got some old books for less than a dollar at Goodwill. We made large ones and small ones put them just inside the door of our back porch Autumn display. The kids got a tremendous feeling of accomplishment out of this easy craft project and it was light on my pocketbook.
42. Decorate For Fall At The Dollar Tree
If you are like me you can’t get enough of the wonderful dollar Tree. I found this cheap and simple decorating idea and decided to give it a whirl. I got some etching cream, one bottle will last you forever and 10 glass jars from dollar tree and popping corn at Randalls. Using my Silhouette Cameo Cutter and adhesive vinal I created these etched glass masterpieces. You can also use adhesive stickers if you’re in a pinch, they will still look excellent.

This Autumn leaf Mural looked so good on the door of my antique shop. I glued some leaves onto the glass of the rustic wooden door and the simplicity of the Fall season is singing in quiet understatement, my customers love it.

We had so many leftover treat bags from my daughter’s Halloween party, they were stuffed in every drawer in the kitchen. My daughter brought me this idea to paint them from Martha Stewart that looked super easy and fun. we had the best time collecting leaves then spraying our beautiful patterns on the bags. We lined the porch with them, but we had to extra careful to use glass candle enclosures, otherwise, they could be dangerous.
