Got two charm packs and now looking for a quilt to use them? Delafield Quilt Company on Youtube has just the right project for you! This baby quilt with disappearing nine patches is perfect if you’re looking for a quick quilt to make. It’s the best addition to a nursery or baby shower gift. Watch the video tutorial below to learn how to make this.

Materials:

  • two charm packs
  • ruler
  • rotary cutter
  • sewing machine
  • iron, for pressing

Directions:

Step 1

For each block, you will need nine charm squares. For this, you can just randomly pick out from the pack for a scrappier look. Sew them by rows using a 1/4″ seam allowance. Once you have your rows sewn, press them in a way that they’re going to nest once you sew them together. After pressing, sew the rows together, then press the seams to one side.

Step 2

Next, cut right down the center of both sides at 2 & 1/4″ mark using your ruler and rotary cutter. Now you got four pieces. Repeat this process, then lay them out by pulling from a variety of the nine blocks that you cut apart to make it look really scrappy. Make sure that the blocks are not going in the same direction. Sew four sections at a time.
