Are you a fan of star patterns? If you are, add this all stars quilt by Missouri Star to your collection. This block is probably one of the easiest star patterns you’ll ever make. Unlike other patterns, you don’t have to measure the strips. The points do not need to be the same sizes, which makes the stars more interesting. But if you prefer to make them the same, go ahead and do the measurements.

Easy All Stars Quilt Materials

  • 1 roll of 2 1/2″ print strips
  • 1 pack of 10″ background squares
  • 3/4 yard of border
  • 3/4 yard of binding
  • 4 1/2 yards of backing

How to Make All Stars Quilt

Step 1:

Take one 10″ background square and fold it in half twice to make a crease line. Get a 2 1/2″ print strip and place it in a diagonal just like in the photo below. Sew with a 1/4″ seam allowance. You can pull it over a bit but make sure when you fold it back, it covers that corner. Don’t get it past the 2 1/2″ width. Cut the excess. The points don’t have to be the exact same sizes. Just make sure they meet the middle point.

Grab another strip and do the same step. Repeat for all sides.

Do the same for all the squares.

Step 3:

Pull out 11 blocks and cut them in half. Then take one block and cut into fourths for your corner block.

Step 4:

Arrange the blocks in rows. Sew the halves on the top, bottom, and ends of the middle rows. Then take the quarter pieces and sew on the corners.

Add a 3-inch binding.
