This air fryer scored baked potatoes recipe by Bhavna’s Kitchen & Living on YouTube looks amazing and I like how it turned out when it’s finished cooking. The seasonings would dip down in the slits of the potatoes and I think it’s a great way to make them flavorful. Scored baked potatoes have a nice look and presentation rather than a regular baked potato. So, it would be perfect to make these and impress your family and guests at a dinner party or gathering. The scored potatoes remind me of Hasselback potatoes, but it would be easier with this method. They take only a few minutes to prepare with simple seasoning and ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 2 large baking potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon oil or butter, melted, divided
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika, if desired
  • 1/8 tsp Garlic powder, optional
  • 1/2 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

First, wash the potato well and with a sharp knife, cut the potatoes in half lengthwise. Slice each half widthwise 6 times, but not all the way through.

Next, brush the potatoes with butter, and sprinkle with paprika, parsley, salt and pepper. Bake in the air fryer at 350F for 50 minutes or until tender. Flip the potatoes about halfway through so they are cooked evenly. The time may vary depending on the size of the potato and air fryer. I think these would be easy to eat and cut because they are already slit with perfect pieces. Also, you can just tear them off and eat them as finger food with a dipping sauce. The scored baked potatoes can be served as a side dish for dinner as well. Overall, this would be another way to prepare homemade potatoes.
