Fresh wild-caught salmon steaks are so delicious and my favorite way to eat fish is to fry it, but most people don’t want to be eating all that oil these days, so one of the most sensible gadgets on the market today is the awesome Air Fryer. The Air Fryer enables you to have those fried foods you enjoy so much without the detrimental effect of oxidization and free radials that an abundance of heated oil might cause. Salmon steaks are a family favorite and this recipe sees that old favorite through a different lens, that is the salmon steaks are not baked or even sauteed, much less fried, at least not in the traditional sense using oil in a pan, they are fried in an Air Fryer! So healthy and excellent! I needed to bring some salmon steaks to an event recently and I really wanted my salmon steaks to stand out because they were made in an air fryer. So when I found this Youtube video explaining how to make salmon steaks in an Air Fryer, I knew I was onto a winner! The salmon steaks looked so gorgeous and were so beautiful with the seasoning glistening on the crispy outer layer and served with a side of lemon butter, and by the sound of it, these salmon steaks were going to be delicious as well. The salmon I used was from my favorite seafood market and had been wild-caught in Alaska and was so delicious and healthy.
Evenly coat salmon with butter or cooking spray and season with salt and pepper (or seasoning of choice).
Place salmon fillets in the air fryer basket and set at 360 degrees for about 10 to 12 minutes.
This is one of the easiest and most delicious recipes I have ever made.
