The perfect salmon recipe? Simply Home Cooked’s recipe on Youtube is by far the best recipe I’ve tasted! It’s flaky and scrumptious and so easy to prepare. And did I tell you that it’s cooked in an air fryer? It’s not just tasty but also healthy! Watch the video below to learn the full recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tsp rub (salt, black pepper, dry thyme leaves, smoked paprika, golden brown sugar)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Directions:

Step 1

Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F, then pat the salmon dry using a paper towel. Next, grate 1 garlic clove, then drizzle some olive oil over both fillets. Divide the grated garlic and rub each half into the fillets. After this, make the rub for the salmon. In a small bowl, add 1/4 tsp of salt, 1/4 tsp of black pepper, 1/4 tsp of dry thyme leaves, 1 tsp of smoked paprika, and 1 tsp of golden brown sugar. Mix everything well to combine. Season both the salmon fillets with the spice rub generously. Once they are coated with the spice rub, kind of rub it in with your hands a little more so the rub will adhere to the salmon better.

Step 2

Next, line the bottom of your pan with some aluminum foil. (If you’re using a basket air fryer, don’t put aluminum foil as it will cover up those holes and will prevent proper circulation.) Put the salmon fillets into the lined pan and place it in the preheated air fryer and bake for about 10 minutes.
