Mountain Dew pickles sound weird, but I think it would work well because of the tangy flavor from the soda. Definitely Not Gourmet on YouTube shows how to easily make Mountain Dew pickles with only 3 ingredients. It’s an interesting combination and way to preserve pickles, and if you leave it in the fridge for days, I’m sure the Moutain Dew will soak into the pickles more. This is an easy way to make a different flavored pickle, and you can save the pickle juice for something else. I love pickles, and I would be interested in trying to see what this tastes like even though I do not like Mountain Dew.

Ingredients:

  • jar of pickles
  • Mountain Dew
  • green food coloring

Directions:

First, drain the pickle juice from the jar into a measuring cup and set it aside. Pour Mountain Dew into the pickle jar all the way full.

Next, add droplets of green food coloring to the jar until it’s nicely green, and seal it. Shake the jar to mix. Let it sit in the fridge to infuse with the Mountain Dew for a couple of hours before eating.

Overall, these Moutain Dew pickles are for those that love Mountain Dew and it’s such a southern thing. Also, this can be a snack or to go along with any meal that you may like. Also, I’m sure you can infuse pickles with other sodas that you may prefer. There’s no other way around this recipe and this can be great for St. Patrick’s Day or other holidays that may require a food object that is green. Pickles can last a long time in the fridge, and you can do this in a bunch of other sizes.
