I collect snow globes and I have found them in many different travel destinations. For some reason, I had always thought of snow globes as something that I needed to buy, I had never really even thought of a snow globe as a DIY project. When I found this awesome photo snow globe video tutorial by Something Turquoise, on YouTube, I really wanted to try this attractive idea. This project calls for a globe with a screw top that can be found at Michael’s craft store, but you could easily use any recycled jar to make this beautiful project.

Materials For The Photo Snow Globe:

  • A crafting printer
  • Laminate paper pouches
  • 4-inch plastic globes
  • Brush bottle trees
  • Laminator
  • Glycerine
  • Glitter
  • Tim (or ribbon)
  • E 6000 glue
  • A hot glue gun
  • Glue sticks
  • A pair of scissors

You begin by making a printed copy of the photograph you wish to add to the snow globe, then laminating it. After the laminate has set, you will then cut out the photo.

Then, you will fill your jar with the glycerine and glitter, then set your laminated photo inside and screw on the lid. It is really that easy!
