Chocolate chess pie reminds me of a brownie in a pie crust, but lighter. This old fashioned chocolate chess pie recipe is a family recipe by Arlyn Osborne on YouTube. I love family recipes that get passed down and get made every year as a tradition. I love trying out different chocolate chess pie recipes, and this recipe has everything I already have in my pantry. I love how this pie looks like a brownie pie, but I can’t wait to compare this to the other recipes I’ve tried out. This would taste amazing with whipped cream on top or a side of vanilla ice cream. This has always been a popular pie at holiday pot lucks because it’s unique. Most holiday parties or gatherings I’ve been to would have the traditional pumpkin and apple pie.
First, preheat the oven to 350F. Then, prick the pie crust with a fork and bake it alone for about 7-10 minutes. Once the pie crust is baking, add all of the ingredients into a bowl and beat until well combined.

Next, pour the chocolate mixture into the pie crust bake for 1 hour to 1 and 10 minutes. Make sure to let this pie cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
Anything that is chocolate is my favorite thing on earth, and this fudgy pie is rich and decadent. This is one of my favorite pies to make during the holidays because a lot of my friends love chocolate too. It’s an easy pie to make without many ingredients. It has a flaky topping with a moist filling. Also, you can make this pie using one bowl and it’s super simple.
