I’m in between nervous and amazed when I saw how to make a floating bed. Nervous, because what if it breaks on me in the middle of the night. Amazed, because this is so cool and it creates a real illusion that the bed is actually floating. This tutorial by HomeMadeModern is not cheap. Honestly, it’s a cool idea and concept, but if you’re on a budget then I would say find other alternatives to recreate this. This requires welding and wood woodworking. It’s a pretty complex tutorial, but if you follow the directions and playback the video at the same time, there shouldn’t be a problem. If you’re impatient then this project is not for you either. I love the idea and how minimalist this floating bed appears. It’s very natural, simple, and fresh.

Overall, I think this is a great project and would love to try something like this. The design aesthetic is really nice and it reminds me of a floating cloud. This video didn’t include the measurements, but based on what size of bed you like, I would advise googling it. The standard size I would want for a bed would be a Queen size.
