Hand made slippers have to be the ultimate way to say you care, but in a world of DIY overload, it’s really hard to find a great DIY that is really basic, cute, and functional all at the same time. However, this crocheted slipper tutorial is all those things because they are made from a simple rectangle piece of crochet and fit together in such a stylish way they are cuter than ballet slippers in my humble opinion, but maybe that’s just me? The only thing you have to potentially worry about when you crochet any footwear is the possibility of slipping, but if you have your trusty glue gun on hand you can put tiny dots of glue on the bottom and have professional no-slip grips on any socks or slippers, so make sure and don’t give them away to anyone without that necessary safety precaution. So I could not wait to give this cool project a trial run and I already had the materials on hand in the craft room, so there was no stopping this project, I was locked and loaded, just rearin’ and tearin’, and ready to go.

Materials:

• Size 4 Yarn
• A Crochet Hook (6mm)
• Scissors
• 2 Buttons

Directions:

First. start by making a chain with 28 stitches (this makes a size 7)

Then go back down your chain in the other direction doing a (single crochet) all the way to the other end (27 stitches in all).

Then you follow all the instructions on each row in the video. These are so well explained and shown even the most inexperienced beginner will find it easy and the experienced crocheter will have these slippers made very quickly.

Then you sew the toe together and add a button to the side.
