Personalizing your lighting at home can never be this easy! An old lamp can turn into the most gorgeous and über chic lamp shade with just a couple of fabric, paint and hot glue. In this video of Spankie Valentine TV,

DIY Shabby Chic Decor
What You Need:
- Old lamp
- All purpose paint
- Brushes
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
- Fabric
- Optional: Glaze
Step 1
Clean surfaces of the lamp.
Step 2
Paint lamp base ensuring all surfaces are painted. Apply second coat after the first coat has dried.
Step 3
Lay out the fabric and cut 4-inch strips. Repeat the steps cutting several strips.
Step 4
Lay the fabric strips and cut once more into 4-inch strips. You should get a stack of 4-inch squares.
Step 5
Fold the stack in half and cut a half circle away from the folded end and repeat the circle cut for all the
squares.
Step 6
To create the flower effect, lay out glue in center of circle and grab the back center. Now, pinch the glue
together. Repeat the steps for all circles.
Step 7
Place a strip of glue into your lamp shade and press the “flowers”. Repeat over entire lamp shade.
And now your DIY Shabby Chic Lamp and Shabby Chic Lampshade are done!
