Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F, then grease a 9×13-inch cake pan with butter, and dust it with flour or line it with parchment paper. Prepare the cake batter according to the package instructions, then pour it into the prepared pan, and let it bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted at the center comes out clean.
Step 2
Transfer the cake to a wire rack to cool for about 30 minutes, then crumble the cake and mix it with the frosting until thoroughly combined. Line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper, then scoop 2 tablespoons of the cake mixture, and shape it into a ball. Place the cake ball on the prepared baking sheet, then do the same for the rest of the cake mixture, and place them in the fridge.
Step 3
Meanwhile, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave at 30-second intervals stirring in between each burst until smooth. Pierce the cake ball with a fork, then dip it into the melted chocolate until well coated, and top it with sprinkles. Do the same for the rest, then put them back in the fridge to chill for about 30 minutes or until the chocolate has completely set. Serve and enjoy!
