Step 1

Once you’ve stopped your crochet and right before you make a slip stitch or however you usually finish crochet, cut your yarn tail to about 6 inches, then use your crochet hook to pull the yarn through the last stitch and thread your yarn onto a blunt crochet needle.

Step 2

On the starting chain from the last round of your stitch, look for the stitch to the left-hand side, and put your needle under both of the loops of the V at the top of the stitch, then pull it through making sure it’s not too tight and approximately the same length as the front loops.

Step 3

Next, put your yarn needle through the back of the loop of the stitch to the right-hand side of your starting chain and pull that through making sure it is not too tight and just the same size as your previous crochet stitches, and then thread your yarn through a sharp tapestry needle.

Step 4

Turn your square over, then work your needle down the starting chain picking up a few threads, and work your way through a few stitches back and across. Do this a few more times until woven tightly into the crochet as demonstrated in the video, then cut off the excess yarn tail, and you’re done!
