Flavored popcorn can be a bit expensive when you buy it from the stores. Making it at home from scratch is a lot cheaper. It’s super easy to make and not as difficult as you think. It only requires 5 simple ingredients – butter, sugar, baking soda, vanilla, and popcorn. You probably already have most of them in your pantry.
It’s perfect for movie nights, game days, or afternoon snacks.

Add butter to a pan over medium heat. Once melted, add 1/2 cup of popcorn and mix. Cover it with the lid and cook until the popcorn pops.
Once the popcorn is done, transfer to a plate.
In the same pan, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add 1 cup of sugar. Mix and cook over low heat until the sugar has melted, stirring continuously.
Add 1/4 tablespoon of baking soda to the mixture and mix until well combined. Next, add 1/4 tablespoon of vanilla essence. Stir well then cook for 5 seconds.
Bring back the popcorn to the same pan and mix to coat everything.
Serve and enjoy!
