#1: Filter the Paint
If you’re using leftover paint that you used previously, make sure to stir it first, and strain it over a clean bucket. This will help filter out any stuff that may have fallen in the paint and ensure it’s clean when you use it again.
#2: Transfer the Paint to a Plastic Bag
Get a wide plastic tub, then line it with a large plastic bag, and secure the edges of the bag on the sides. Pour the strained paint into the bag, then proceed painting as you usually would, and once done gather the ends of the bag before tying it in a knot.
#3: Clean Paint Storage
Position the bag over a clean bucket, then snip off the end but not all the way to ensure that the piece of plastic doesn’t fall in the paint, then let all of the paint drain off from the bag, and squeeze it clean.
