Recently, I have discovered a new hobby which is planting, this is also why I’m looking forward to spring and summer because they are the best seasons to bloom flowers. Planting is a great way to pass the time and it makes your house very beautiful both outside and inside.

I just noticed eventually that I now have a lot of plants and flowers, some of them even go inside of the house. So when I found this video tutorial by HGTV Handmade on YouTube, I was so excited to give it a try because I do have a few more plants that I plan on bringing inside and most of all, I have a couple of empty laundry pod containers!
Step 1
First, remove all of the labels from the container and make sure to get rid of the leftover adhesive as well. Grab a pot lid, then use it to trace a moon shape onto the container as demonstrated in the video, then using a craft knife and scissors cut off the shape of the moon, flip the container over, and do the same to the other side.
Step 2
Dampen a paper towel with some alcohol, then rub it over the marker lines to erase them, and proceed to trim down any rough corners and edges with your scissors. Now, you can start sanding the entire pod smoothing the inside as well as the outside for some texture, then paint the container gold, and allow it to dry completely.
Step 3
Next, get the empty masking tape roll, then paint it white first, let dry, and proceed to coat it with gold paint. Once the paint has dried completely, hot glue the tape roll underneath the container so it becomes the base, and you’re done. You can now add some rocks at the bottom of the planter and then transfer your plant.
