These old-fashioned cookies are easy to make, delicious, and always a holiday favorite. Some people even make it a yearly tradition to bake these cookies. They are soft in the middle and crispy on the edges, making them an addictive treat that everyone will surely enjoy. Serve it with a hot cup of chocolate or milk on a winter night to keep you cozy and warm.

Get a large bowl, and add the flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, nutmeg and salt.
In the bowl of the stand mixer, add the cream, butter, and brown sugar. Mix with the paddle attachment on medium speed until fluffy.
Add the molasses, followed by the egg and vanilla. Mix until combined.
Divide the dough into two portions and flatten into disks using a rolling pin. Cover them with plastic wrap, then place in the refrigerator for about 4 hours or overnight.
After 4 hours or a night has passed, preheat your oven to 350F. Roll the dough about 1/4-inch in thickness.
Using a cookie cutter, cut out gingerbread people or shapes. Carefully transfer them to the prepared baking sheet.
Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, then let them cool.
In a bowl, sift the powdered sugar and cream. Whisk together well.
Mix in the egg white. Next, add water until you achieve the consistency that you want.
Transfer the mixture to a piping bag fitted with a small round tip or with the tip snipped off.
Decorate the cookies, then add sprinkles or candies.
