This is an enjoyable activity to do with your friends and family. I always do this every holiday season, and it always feels like I’m experimenting on something. This is my favorite DIY, and crystallizing different decor every year has been my tradition. Ready to try it? Gather your materials and try this activity today! Check out the video tutorial below for the step by step process, or continue reading down for the written instructions.
Fill your pot with water and boil it over high heat. Once the water starts to boil, slowly add 6 cups of borax, mix until everything is completely dissolved, and bring it back to a boil. Remove the pot of water from the heat once it’s boiling again. Now, carefully submerge all the items into the borax water you want to crystallize. Then, put the lid back on the pot and let it set for 24 hours.

After 24 hours, remove the items from the water using a tong and dry them with a kitchen towel. Now, you can put them on display anywhere in your home! Repeat the steps to make more crystallized decor pieces.
