Nothing compares to this Oreo chocolate mousse cake recipe by Spice Bites! It’s incredible how you can make a heavenly dessert like this at home. For the cake base:

Break the Oreos into small pieces, then put them inside a food processor. Crush into fine crumbs, then place in a bowl.
Add melted butter to the fine crumbs and mix until well combined.
Pour the mixture into a round mold and press it gently.
Place the 7 oz of semi-sweet dark chocolate into a bowl, then add 1/3 cup of whipping cream. Melt the chocolate in the microwave or double boiler for 1 minute. Once melted, mix it well until smooth. Set aside and let it cool down to room temperature.
Add 1 and 1/3 cups of whipping cream into a bowl, then beat until stiff peaks. Mix some whipped cream with the chocolate mixture. Transfer it to the rest of the whipping cream and mix it all.
Spread the chocolate whipped cream mixture evenly on the base.
Place it in the freezer for about 2 to 4 hours or until set.
Combine 1/3 cup of whipping cream with the 3.5 oz of semi-sweet dark chocolate. Mix until the chocolate is melted.
Place the chocolate cake on a rack with a plate on the bottom. Pour the chocolate mixture into the cake. Decorate with sprinkles on top.
