Quilting has always been a favorite hobby of mine and I’ve already done a lot of projects before. I have tried making quilts with busy patterns and loud colors, so this time, I wanted to try something simple and easy on the eyes. Luckily, I found this video tutorial by SewVeryEasy on YouTube! The result was so lovely and neat, and the process was super easy to follow and understand. So, if you’re a beginner and you want to give this quilt a try, don’t hesitate, because you can make this easily as long as you follow the step-by-step guide.

Step 1

Cut the fabric pieces that are required, then draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of the 2½ squares for the heart block, and with their right sides facing, lay one square on the top left corner of the 6½” x 10½” rectangle before proceeding the sew along the marked line with a ¼” seam allowance and then cut the excess seam. Step 2

Assemble the unit, then assemble the block as shown in the video and the pattern, and proceed to piece the quilt center. Cut the 10½” squares diagonally, then assemble the quilt center, sew, and trim the piece until it measures 17½” square. Use the 4″ x 17½” rectangle for the border, then attach the side outer borders using the 2″ x 21″ fabric strips, and use the 2″ x 20½” fabric strips for the top and bottom outer borders. Lastly, sew together the 2½” fabric strips, then use them to bind the block, and quilt as desired.
