In a large bowl, sieve 4 cups of all-purpose flour, then add 1/4 cup of sugar, 2 & 1/2 tsp instant dry yeast, and 1 tsp salt. Place it in a stand mixer and mix until fully combined. Next, add 1/2 cup of whole milk, 1/2 cup of water, 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter, and 1 large egg. Continue to mix everything for about 12 minutes until dough forms. After this, transfer it to a floured surface and knead for about ten minutes until the dough becomes elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, brush it with some butter, and cover it with plastic wrap. Let it proof in a warm spot for an hour until it doubles in size. After proofing, punch out the gas from the dough and roll it evenly on a floured surface. Spread 1/2 cup of softened unsalted butter over the dough surface, then sprinkle 1 cup of brown sugar evenly and 2 tbsp of cinnamon.

Brush the end of the dough with water and gently roll it all the way, then divide it into 16 equal pieces. Place the cinnamon in a 9×12 baking pan and let them rest for 45 minutes. After this, bake them in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F for 35 minutes or until golden brown. While waiting, make the glaze. In a bowl, add 1/2 cup of cream cheese and 1 tbsp butter. Mix with a handheld mixer until combined. Add 1 & 1/2 cups powdered sugar, 1/4 cup of milk, and 1 tsp vanilla next, and continue mixing. Pour the glaze over the warm cinnamon rolls.
