Go all out this Fall season and level up your dinner table by serving themed bread rolls! This recipe by El Mundo Eats on YouTube is so easy to follow and turned out really lovely and tasty. They were super soft and fluffy as well, try it out and see for yourself, you won’t regret it.
Dough
Step 1
Mix together the honey and warm water in a mixing bowl, then sprinkle dry yeast and give them a good mix until well combined, and then set it aside leaving it for about 3 to 5 minutes for the yeast to activate. In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the bread flour, salt, powdered milk, egg, pumpkin puree, and unsalted butter, then mix them all together and knead for about 10 minutes until incorporated and becomes a sticky dough. Grease your hands, then form it into a ball, and place it in a greased bowl coating the dough surface with some oil as well. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap, then set it aside, and let the dough rise until it doubles in size. Lightly flour the surface, then transfer the risen dough, and knead it lightly shaping it into a log.

Step 2
Cut the log into 4 equal pieces, then cut each piece into 4 smaller pieces, and you’ll have a total of 16 dough. Form each dough into a ball, then loosely tie a kitchen string around the ball in 8 sections, and knot it securely. Place them on a baking tray lined with Silpat or parchment paper, then set them aside for about 30 minutes to rise a bit, and then brush them with egg wash. Put the pumpkin balls in the preheated oven, then let them bake at 350°F for about 20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through, and then remove them from the oven. Brush them immediately with some melted butter, then let them cool down completely on a wire rack before carefully cutting and gently removing the kitchen strings, and then place a pumpkin seed at the top center of each pumpkin bread. Serve and enjoy!
